Captain John holds a Certificate of Competency Class 1 (Master Mariner) and is an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute (AFNI).

He joined AJAX in 2017 with a background of sea-going experience on various types of merchant vessels as well as shore based exposure as an Emergency Response Trainer and Consultant for Oil Spill Response Limited, U.K. He has performed numerous IMCA-CMID audits and also as MWS for Suitability inspections, Load- Out / Lifting Operations, Stowage & Lashing, Towage Approvals and Offshore Installation on Construction Projects and further general marine surveys for On /Off Hire Condition and Consumables survey Inspections.
