Bernard was formerly attached to the Singapore Police Force. During his stint at the Traffic Police Department, he had handled various types of road traffic accidents as well as traffic violation offences. He was also given the role of a Station Sergeant in-charge which empowered him to run the station in the absence of key personnel.

After serving the Police Force for more than 5 years, Bernard joined the insurance industry, firstly as a Motor Claims Executive before rising through the ranks to head the Motor Department in one of the international Insurance Companies.

Through his 11 years of experience in the motor claim industry, Bernard has acquired the expertise to deal with various aspect of motor accident claims, namely from simple motor  repair adjustment to the more complicated Third Party Bodily Injury claims. He was also involved in helping his previous company win a landmark court case (Ter Yin Wei vs Lim Leet Fang, 2008) which effectively changed the whole landscape in Third Party Claim settlement approach in the motor industry.

Presently, Bernard manages AJAX Inspection Services and is assisted by a team of experienced motor surveyors.
